GT Bicycles planning to ‘pause’ new product releases and reduce workforce

In some more bad news for the industry, GT Bicycles, which separated from Cycling Sports Group/Cannondale to a stand-alone Pon Holdings brand in 2023 with its own design team, is reported to be pausing releasing new products while streamlining its operations.

In a recent statement to the cycling press, GT Managing Director Jason Schiers said: “There will be layoffs before the end of the year but the brand will continue to sell bikes in 2025.” BikeBiz
