World’s fastest woman defeats 100 men for US$100,000

Internet personality and streamer MrBeast put the speed of the world’s fastest woman, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, to the test in his latest YouTube challenge.

The YouTuber offered a US$100,000 prize to any man who could beat the reigning world 100m and 200m champion across the width of two soccer fields. Spoiler alert: Jefferson-Wooden threw down.

Wearing soccer cleats, the 24-year-old stormed to victory, outrunning the 100 young challengers from North Carolina University. The closest finisher, entrant #35, started to gain ground near the end but ultimately couldn’t catch the five-time world championship medallist.

Jefferson-Wooden is coming off the best season of her career, setting personal bests in both the 100m and 200m at the 2025 World Athletics Championships. Her 100m gold-medal-winning time of 10.61 seconds tied for the fourth-fastest mark in history. Running Magazine
